3-Dimensional Extrusion
1) Create a new document however big you'd like. I chose 400x400. Make sure
your resolution is 72 and your background is Transparent.
2) Press "D" to reset your colors. Rename "Layer 1" to "bg".
3) Grab your gradient tool. Now make your foreground color white and your
background color black. Now make your gradient settings something like this:

...and make a gradient like the one below.

4) Now go to Filter > Stylize > Extrude... with the following settings: "Type: Blocks;
Size: 25 Pixels; Depth: 50, Random; Solid Front Faces: unchecked; Mask Incomplete
Blocks: unchecked;" Now press OK.

5) Now go to Filter > Stylize > Extrude... with the following settings: "Type: Blocks;
Size: 50 Pixels; Depth: 50, Random; Solid Front Faces: unchecked; Mask Incomplete
Blocks: unchecked;" Now press OK.

5) Now let's add some color... go to Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation with
the following settings: "Colorize: checked;", and the rest of the settings you
can just improvise on. I used "Hue: 210; Saturation: 30; Lightness: +15;".
14. You are done! You can add additional effects to your image to make it
look better and whatnot, but here is what I have come up with:
